It takes more than just sweat to lose weight permanently. You need to burn more calories than you take in every day in order to create a caloric deficit which in turn helps you lose weight and keep it off. This can only be achieved through regular exercise and a healthy diet.

Although you might sweat more during an intense cardio session, it doesn’t mean that it’s more effective for weight loss.

Weight training on the other hand may not feel as intense or it may not make you gasp for breath, but it has proven to be more effective for weight loss.

This is due to the fact that weight training helps your muscles grow which in turn speeds up your metabolism so you end up burning more calories even hours after your workout has finished.

Cardio still has its place in the weight loss journey, but weight training in comparison is more effective when it comes to losing weight.
